Making animated GIFs on Wikipedia isn't enough for me. I want to explain more things with more depth, and YouTube is a great plataform for high-quality educational content.
This is why I decided to create The Animated Guide to the Universe, a YouTube channel with technical animations explaining undergraduate-level physics and mathematics to a general audience. Something between a layman explanation and a formal lecture, while also providing a vehicle for more "artistic" explorations of math and physics concepts.
The idea is to be formal but "holistic", showing how the various ideas in math and physics are interconnected. This is something that is severely lacking in current math\physics education, and I want to fill that gap.
Along with the videos, I also intend to write blog posts and make some interactive explorable explanations to go with certain videos, so users can play with concepts and create their own intuitions.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the time yet to fully dedicate to this project. The project will have to wait a bit longer, but it's going to happen sooner or later.
